Advice

Following a full submission

ivabradine (Procoralan) is not recommended for use within NHS Scotland for the symptomatic treatment of chronic stable angina in patients with normal sinus rhythm who have a contra-indication or intolerance for beta-blockers.

Non-inferiority of ivabradine versus a beta blocker and a calcium-channel blocker was shown in two controlled trials however the economic case for ivabradine has not been demonstrated.

The licence holder has indicated their decision to resubmit.
