Education

SAPG has worked with NHS Education for Scotland (NES) to develop training materials on antimicrobial stewardship for both undergraduate and postgraduate healthcare professionals and provides ongoing support for delivery of education on antimicrobial stewardship across all healthcare settings.
Multiprofessional induction training materials are available here together with links to other resources on management of infections, HAI and antimicrobial resistance.

An education sub group is established, chaired by Helen Maitland, HAI Team, NES and membership is drawn from key contacts and subject experts in Health Boards and Higher Education Institutes.  This group considers current and emerging priorities for Antimicrobial Stewardship and the appropriate educational outcomes.
